Natural Resource Survey and other related activities under Ecosystem based development, management and conservation of the Saint Martin’s Island

The underwater coral study carried out by Isabela Foundation as part of the project entitled “Natural Resource Survey and other Related Activities Under Ecosystem Based Development, Management, and Conservation of the Saint Martin’s Island” implemented by the Department of Environment, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Bangladesh and funded by the UNDP. Under the natural resource survey, Isabela Foundation conducted the underwater coral survey to assess the status and diversity of coral species and associated flora and fauna of Saint Martin’s Island ECA area. 

The aim of the project was to investigate upon the existing condition of available biodiversity in the Island in order to formulate necessary conservation actions, and consequently develop a Conservation Management Plan (CMP) for the Saint Martin’s Island (SMI).
